Name the Element
This program gives practice in learning common elements and their symbols.
Ten symbols are randomly selected from 25 common element symbols and the symbols are displayed one at a time. The student must type the element 's name and then click on the OK button.
If the answer is correct, a tick will briefly display beside the answer before the next symbol is displayed.
If the wrong answer is entered, a cross will briefly display and the student is given another chance to enter the answer. After three wrong attempts, the correct answer is displayed and the student is allowed to move on to the next symbol. The answers are case sensitive, so the characters of the element name must be typed in the correct case.
When the names for all ten elements have been entered, a success rating message is displayed. The student is then invited to try another set of ten symbols.
