Ludo
The is a variant of the traditional Ludo board game adapted to be played against the computer.
This Ludo program begins by asking you to choose which colour you would like for your counter. When you have clicked on the colour of your choice, the Computer will choose its counter. The counters will be displayed at the top righthand side of the window throughout the game.
You will then be asked to spin for the first turn. You stop the spinner by clicking on it to see your score. The Computer will then spin to see its score. The one with the highest score has first turn.
You have to race against the computer around the board to see who can be first to get all of their counters to the home position marked with an H. When counters are knocked off they are returned to their starting base. When a counter goes all the way round the board it can enter the home column of the same colour. To land on the home base you must spin the exact number.
When it is your turn, click on the spinner to see how many dots are displayed. To start a counter you must spin a 6 and then click on the S square of your counter's colour. If you spin a 6 you may have another turn. You must then move your counter that number of squares by clicking in the next square you want your counter to move to. You may not split a move between counters. Two counters of the same colour are not allowed on the same square at the end of a move. If the end of move square contains an opponent's counter, that counter is returned to its base.
When it is the Computer's turn, it will stop the spinner and move its counter the correct number of squares.
When more than one counter has reached home, the home position will display the number of counters at home. The winner is the first player to get all four counters home.
