Mental Arithmetic
This program gives practise in mental arithmetic by posing questions using words, numbers and the four arithemetic operators +, -, × and ÷. The student must click on the button displaying the answer. If the wrong button is selected, the button will briefly turn red and the student must re-calculate the answer. If the answer is correct, the button will briefly turn green and return to yellow before another question is posed. Different sound effects accompany right and wrong answers. The sound effects can be turned off using the options in the Sound menu.
A cumulative success rating of up to five stars will be displayed, this is based on 5 points awarded for a correct answer and 1 point deducted for each wrong answer.
