Tallying

The Tallying program aims to give the user practice in tallying objects displayed in the window.

When the program starts, a window describing the tallying notation is shown to the user.

The user is then presented with a window containing instructions and tally buttons for the set of objects to be tallied.  The tallying is done by clicking on the tally buttons beside an icon of the object.  There are 48 objects of four types which are randomly generated and there are 3 object sets.

When the tally is complete the user must type in the tally totals and click on the Done button.

The user starts with a score of 52, 48 for correct tallies and 4 for the correct tally values. When the user makes a mistake when clicking on the tally buttons, a beep sound is heard and a  point is deduced. A point is also deducted for each incorrect tally value. When the tallying has been correctly completed a Success Rating of up to five stars is displayed and the user is invited to tally another set of data.

The Tallying? button will display the window describing the Tallying notation.
